Lawyers’ pay rates to increase April 1, 2014

Private bar lawyers who represent legal aid clients will again see their hourly pay rates increase by five per cent, on April 1, 2014. This increase in rates includes block fees.
These changes to the tariff are in accordance with the January 2010 Memorandum of Understanding, signed by LAO, the Criminal Lawyers’ Association and the Ministry of the Attorney General.
