Enhancements to Legal Aid Online to help reduce data errors, speed up processing of accounts

As part of its ongoing upgrades to Legal Aid Online, Legal Aid Ontario has modified the site’s billing page to help lawyers enter fewer data errors. Now when you enter billing information:
you may be asked to confirm that the number of court hours you are entering correlates with the number of days you have entered. Please note that court time does not include wait times, meeting with clients at the courthouse, negotiating with the Crown, preparing written submissions to the Immigration and Refugee Board or motions in family or Child Services and Family Act (CSFA) matters unless the motion has been authorized.
you can choose "plea" or "outcome" from a dropdown menu in the trial outcomes section. If you inadvertently choose an incorrect option that does not correlate with the court days entered, a popup message will appear, and prompt you to change your selection.
These changes will accelerate the processing of accounts and ensure more accurate payments.
