Tips on how to meet LAO billing deadlines for certificate account payments

Legal Aid Ontario (LAO) has prepared tips to help lawyers meet their deadlines for billing. These tips will help lawyers receive payment on their accounts in a timely manner.
LAO has an 18-month billing rule. To comply with this rule, lawyers must submit an interim or final account for all fees and disbursements incurred within each previous 12-month period of a certificate within six months of the annual anniversary date of that certificate.
