Criminal amendment requests: When money seized is police property
Posted on: Thursday, November 24, 2011
Following the recent implementation of the electronic criminal amendment request form on Legal Aid Online, Legal Aid Ontario would like to clarify one of the questions regarding money seized by police.
‘Is the money the property of a law enforcement agency?’ refers to funds police have provided as ‘buy money’ to be used in a sting operation. If the funds seized do not belong to the enforcement agency, please select NO for the second part of question 11.
