University of Ottawa Community Legal Clinics

The University of Ottawa Community Legal Clinic has a dual mandate: to provide legal services to members of the community and to students, and to provide legal education to law students enrolled in the Common Law Section of the Faculty of Law. Reporting to the Executive Director, the lawyer will supervise law students working in the clinic, overseeing work done on behalf of clients with criminal matters. The lawyer will also participate in regular Clinic duties including supervision of intake. Requirements:

  • LL.B / J.D. degree
  • Membership in good standing of the Law Society of Ontario
  • Minimum 3 years experience in criminal law
  • Student legal aid service society experience is an asset
  • Bilingualism in French and English (spoken and written) is an asset
