Lake Country Community Legal Clinic

Lake Country Community Legal Clinic is seeking an experienced Community Development Co-ordinator. Are you committed to social justice and working with a dynamic group of Northern Community Legal Clinics? We are looking for a passionate, dynamic individual for an 18-month contract to work with Northern clinics to develop and expand our community organizing and development capacity.

This collaborative position will be based at our clinic but will work with all the Northern Clinics. The successful applicant will work with clinic staff already doing community development and build capacity across the north.

We are looking for a person with excellent communication skills, both oral and written with a post-graduate degree or equivalent relevant experience in community development and/or advocacy work. You must have a vehicle and be able to travel throughout the North (by train, plane or automobile). Knowledge and experience of working with Northern Indigenous communities is an asset as is the ability to write and communicate in French. Salary is based on experience.
